Macrobiotic Cut-Out Cookies

You don't need to let the dough rest, just mix the ingredients to make these easy cookies whenever your kids request them. Enjoy cutting out the cookies with your kids.


☆Cake flour
100 g
☆Rice flour
30 g
40 g
a small amount
Beet sugar
6 tablespoons
3 tablespoons
Olive oil
4 tablespoons


1. Add the ☆ ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
2. Heat the beet sugar and water in a pan, and mix well.
3. When the beet sugar has dissolved, remove from heat, add the mixture to the bowl from Step 1, and combine well with a spatula.
4. Add the olive oil to the bowl from Step 3 and the dough is ready.
5. Cut out the cookies. Dust your work surface (with cake flour) and place the dough. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
6. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter of your choice. Place cookies on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes, and the cookies are done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I like how easily I can bake these cookies since I don't need to let the dough rest. If you prefer, you can add grated ginger or black sesame seeds (ground sesame seeds) and they will become more nutritious.
