Chestnut Rice

Enjoy fluffy and delicious chestnut rice!

Ingredients: 6 servings

Raw chestnuts
500 g (300 g without shell)
2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
3 rice cooker cups - 480 ml
540 ml
Sesame seeds
to taste

1. Put the chestnuts in a bowl and pour in enough hot water to cover.
2. Soaking in water makes it easier to peel, so leave them like this for a while until they cool down.
3. When the shell has softened, cut away the bottom part.
4. You can peel away the shell as is, but if it's too tough, use a knife to peel off the outer shell as shown in the photo.
5. Put the knife into a gap and tear the shell off.
6. It should look like this.
7. Remove the inner skin and soak in water to remove scum.
8. Put the rice, seasonings, water and chestnuts into the rice cooker in that order. Cook it on the mixed rice setting.
9. Done!
