Easy Chestnut Rice

The chestnuts are steaming hot and delicious, and the rice is well seasoned. Kids will love this.

Ingredients: 3 rice cooker cups worth

White rice
3 rice cooker cups (540 ml)
Peeled chestnuts
as needed
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
★Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
1/2 teaspoon
as needed
two 5 cm sheets


1. Peel the chestnuts. See (Recipe ID: 2355658)
2. Wash the rice, add the ingredients marked ★, add water to the three cup line and give it all a quick stir.
3. Add the seaweed and chestnuts and switch the rice cooker on. When it's done, let it steam for about 10 minutes.
4. When it's finished steaming, remove the seaweed, mix it all up, transfer to a serving plate and enjoy!

I collected a lot of chestnuts when I went chestnut gathering. I remembered the chestnut rice that my mother used to make for me.
