Miso Ramen Soup

Miso Ramen Soup

A simple, easy homemade miso flavored soup for ramen.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Garlic (finely chopped)
1 clove
Ginger (finely chopped)
1 piece
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Dashi stock granules
1/2 teaspoon
300 ml
Blended miso
1 tablespoon, adjust to taste

1. Add sesame oil to the finely chopped garlic and ginger, and saute over low heat.
2. When it's fragrant, add 300 ml of water and the dashi stock granules. Bring to a boil, and add the miso. That's it!
3. I love fresh cilantro, so I added finely chopped leaves.
4. If I'm out of both dried and fresh ramen noodles, I boil pasta with baking soda and use that instead.

Story Behind this Recipe

I love ramen and udon noodles, but here in the U.S. it's hard to get good fresh noodles, and since I'm trying to have a baby, instant noodles are a no-no... so I made this simple miso ramen soup.
