2 Minutes in the Microwave Easy Shimeji Mushrooms with Ponzu Sauce

Use a silicone steamer and you can make this dish in just 5 minutes from start to finish. It's a great vegetable filler for your bento.

Ingredients

Shimeji mushrooms
about 80 g
Bonito flakes
3 g
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Ponzu
2 tablespoons
Sugar
1/2 teaspoon

Steps

1. Remove the base of the shimeji mushrooms and place in a small silicone steamer.
2. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and sugar. Pour in the ponzu. Add the bonito flakes and roughly toss.
3. Close the lid of the steamer and microwave for 1 minute. Remove the lid and stir.
4. Cover with the lid again and heat for 1 more minute. Serve in a dish and enjoy.

I ran out of frozen bento side dishes so I used the shimeji that I always have in the fridge to make a vegetable side dish.
