Salty Carrot and Green Pepper Kinpira Stir-Fry

This colorful, salty kinpira stir-fry with carrots and green peppers makes a great side-dish in bento boxes.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Carrot
1/2
Green peppers
2
Sake
2 tablespoons
Mirin
2 tablespoons
Sugar
1 tablespoon
Salt
small amount
Sesame oil
small amount
Black sesame seeds
as needed

Steps

1. Julienne the carrot and green peppers.
2. Fry the carrot in sesame oil and add all the seasonings when softened.
3. When the liquid has reduced by half, add the green peppers.
4. Cook until most of the liquid has evaporated. Add sesame oil and black sesame seeds for extra flavor. This makes a great side-dish in bento boxes.
