Pan-fried Chicken Breast with Mayonnaise and Mustard

I love chicken pan-fried in mayo and mustard sauce. Its rich taste is great for a bento box. You can omit mustard when serving this to children.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Chicken breast (or thigh)
450 g
Soy sauce (to pre-season)
1 tablespoon
Sake (to pre-season)
1 tablespoon
Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon
Mustard
1 tablespoon
Plain cake flour
2 tablespoons
Leafy lettuce (for garnish)
as needed

Steps

1. Slice chicken breast diagonally into bite-sized pieces.
2. Mix and rub the soy sauce and sake for pre-seasoning. Let it sit for a while (if you are making it for a bento box, prepare until this step the night before).
3. Put the Step 2 chicken into a plastic bag and coat with flour.
4. Pan-fry the chicken until golden brown or until done. (Pay attention while you are frying because it scorches easily.)
5. Add and mix in mayonnaise and mustard.
6. Lay the leafy lettuce on a serving plate. Top with the Step 5 chicken to serve.
7. It is also suitable for a bento lunch boxes.
