Combine all ingredients in a deep bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and cook for 1 1/2 minutes in a 500 W microwave.
Remove the plastic wrap and mix well. Microwave once more for 1 1/2 minutes without plastic wrap.
Transfer to a sterilized container and refrigerate.
If you are using fresh strawberries in Step 1, cut into 1cm cubes.

I made this sauce because frozen strawberries were on sale. For Reduced Sugar Strawberry Jam, see Recipe ID: 1740331.
I've used frozen strawberries (pre-cut) for this recipe. This dish won't keep long since it's not strawberry jam. So you should eat it as soon as you can. If you microwave it for about 2 1/2 minutes, it will become more like jam so it will last longer. Use the sauce accordingly.
