Super Easy, Eggplant Gratin

If you have eggplant and meat sauce, you can make this right away.
It's delicious on top of rice or spaghetti.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Eggplant (slim Japanese type)
Meat Sauce
1 can or 1 bag
to taste
Vegetable oil
as needed


1. Cut the eggplant in half lengthwise and then slice into roughly 1 cm pieces.
2. Fry the eggplant until it's lightly browned using vegetable oil.
3. Into a gratin dish, layer the meat sauce and eggplant on top of each other in that order 2 to 3 times. Make sure meat sauce is on the top layer.
4. Add mayonnaise on top of the meat sauce and cook in an oven until it is browned. Then you're done.

We tried eating the eggplant that we grew at our house in many different ways and I tried making this because I felt like eating it.
