So Easy! Okra with Wasabi and Shio-Koji

This dish doesn't need any heat, and it's made in no time. Great as drinking snacks or in bentos!

Ingredients: 1 serving

Shio-koji (salt fermented rice malt)
1/2 teaspoon
Wasabi paste (tubed)
about 1 cm
Sesame, nori, bonito flakes, etc
as needed


1. Wash the okra and remove the hard parts. Wrap in plastic wrap and microwave at 500 W for about 20 seconds. (Be careful not to let it explode!)
2. Combine the shio-koji and wasabi in a bowl, and dissolve the wasabi well.
3. Cut the okra into easy-to-eat pieces, add to the bowl from Step 2, and mix well to finish. Top with sesame, nori, bonito flakes, and such to taste.

I love the combination of shio-koji and okra. I also love wasabi.
So, I tried combining them and it was delicious.
