Mix all the ＊ ingredients in the order listed. Add the cake flour and fold in with a spatula using a cutting motion.

I think these cookies would taste sweet enough without mixing in too much sugar, since they're coated with sugar on the surface. Soften the butter by bringing it to room temperature or microwaving it for 10-15 seconds at 500 W.
