Melon Mousse

Melon Mousse

This is a sweet melon mousse with a light and fluffy texture.
Top with lots of melon for a luxurious feeling.

Ingredients: 5 mousses

Gelatin powder
5 g
2 tablespoons
200 g
Granulated sugar
10 g
Lemon juice
1 teaspoon
Plain yoghurt
50 g
★Heavy cream
100 g
★Granulated sugar
10 g


1. Dissolve the gelatin in water in a double boiler.
2. Purée the melon in a blender or food processor, and mix in the lemon juice and granulated sugar.
3. Add the yoghurt and mix well.
4. Add the gelatin from Step 1, and mix well until until it thickens, then leave it to cool.
5. Add the granulated sugar marked ★ to the heavy cream, and whip until soft peaks form. Stir it into the bowl from Step 4 in 2-3 batches.
6. Pour the mixture into the mousse cups and leave in the fridge to harden.
7. Top with chopped melon and mint to finish.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had a lot of sweet melon to use.
It's nice as-is, but I tried making mousse with it so I wouldn't get tired of the taste.
It's light and refreshing, making it a tasty summer dessert.
