Speedy Cucumber Namul

Just sauté the cucumbers and toss them with dashida. It's a quick-fix side dish. It's also nice to enjoy as a snack.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Sesame oil (for stir frying)
as needed
1 teaspoon or more
Boiling hot water (optional)
1 teaspoon
a small amount
Sesame seeds
as much as you like


1. Rinse the cucumbers and cut into chunks at a 70° angle rolling towards you each after each cut.
2. Dilute 1 teaspoon of dashida in boiling hot water (optional).
3. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan and sauté.
4. Coat the cucumbers with oil, then add the dashida from Step 2. Season with salt.

I received a ton of cucumbers, so I came up with this recipe as a way to use them up. My husband loves these too.
