Easy Side Dish♪ Bok Choy and Squid Salt Stir-fry

An easy Chinese side dish with squid and bok choy.

Ingredients: 2-3 servings

Bok choy
2 heads
Japanese squid
☆ Salt
1/3 teaspoon
☆ Chicken soup stock granules
1 teaspoon
☆ Pepper
A small amount
☆ Sake
1 tablespoon
☆ Sesame oil
A small amount
Vegetable oil (for frying)
1 tablespoon


1. Separate the bok choy stems and leaves and cut into bite sizes. Also cut the squid into bite sizes.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the bok choy stems. Add a little water to steam. Add the leaves.
3. Move the bok choy from Step 2 to a bowl and quickly fry the squid. When it's cooked thoroughly, add the bok choy and season with the ☆ ingredients. Remove from heat and plate.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had bok choy and squid in the fridge and I improvised! This is what I came up with. You could use komatsuna greens instead of bok choy!
