Hawaiian Butter Mochi!

I learned this recipe from a Hawaiian native!

Ingredients: 20 cm square pan

2 cups
1 cup (200 ml)
●Baking powder
1 teaspoon
1/2 cup
★Coconut milk
1 can (400 ml)
★Vanilla essence
1 teaspoon
★Melted butter (unsalted)
50 g


1. Preheat the oven to 190℃ (375°F). Coat the pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
2. Melt the butter in the microwave, then let it cool.
3. Put all the ● ingredients in a bowl.
4. Put all the ★ ingredients in a separate bowl and mix well.
5. Pour all of Step 3 into Step 4 and mix until smooth.
6. Pour into the pan and bake in the oven for about an hour. When a toothpick or skewer inserted into the center comes out clean, it's done!

I go to Food Land sometimes just to have butter mochi. I asked a Hawaiian native to tell me an easy way to make it. It's really quite simple, so nthis recipe it's a favorite.
