Steak Sauce

A rich onion sauce that's simple to prepare and easy to eat.

Ingredients: 2 ample servings

Onion
1 medium
Garlic
1 clove
Soy sauce
100 ml
Sake
50 ml
Mirin
50 ml
Sugar
1 teaspoon
Vinegar
1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Peel the garlic and crush with the side of a knife. When you cook the steak, cook the garlic along with it. When the meat has finished cooking, remove the meat, but leave the garlic.
2. Add the grated onion and remaining ingredients to the frying pan with the meat juices and garlic. Let it simmer.
3. It's done. If there's any leftover, keep it in the fridge. It tastes better after sitting for awhile.
4. If you're planning to make it just for storage, don't fry the garlic, but grate it and add it with all of the ingredients when you simmer them.
