Shrimp and Green Pepper Ketchup Stir-Fry

This is made without chili sauce, so it is not spicy, and your children will enjoy it.

Ingredients: 1 person

Shrimp

Green pepper

Onion

Ketchup
1 tablespoon
Salt and pepper
to taste
Sake
1 tablespoon
Katakuriko
as needed

Steps

1. Cut the green peppers in half vertically and finely chop. Thinly slice the onions.
2. De-shell and devein the shrimp, sprinkle sake, and let sit for a while.
3. Coat the shrimp in katakuriko.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan, cook the shrimp on both sides, and temporarily transfer to a plate.
5. Heat more vegetable oil in the pan, sauté the green peppers and onions, and sprinkle pepper.
6. Reduce to low heat once the green peppers and onions have softened, return the shrimp to the pan, add in the ketchup and evenly coat everything in it, and it is done.

Story Behind this Recipe

A dish similar to this came was served at my company's cafeteria. I thought it was chili sauce, but it wasn't spicy at all, and it was delicious, so I guessed the recipe, and made this.
