Story Behind this Recipe
I wanted to eat French toast as an afternoon snack. If you use free-range, organically grown eggs, the yolks will be rich and you can really enjoy their flavor. I recommend eating free-range eggs.
Ideally, soak the bread in the liquid for at least 1 hour, but you can speed the process by pressing down with a spatula. When frying the bread, don't turn it over several times. Fry it patiently over low heat as if you were steaming it, and it will be delicious.
