Stir-Fried Pork and Onion with Ginger and Ponzu Sauce

Stir-Fried Pork and Onion with Ginger and Ponzu Sauce

This simple recipe will speed-up making bentos in the morning. Top them on rice for pork rice bowls.

Ingredients: 1 small serving for a bento

Pork (thinly sliced, offcuts, or chopped)
50 g
Onion
1/4
Ponzu
1 tablespoon plus
Grated ginger
roughly 3 cm (if tubed)
Oil
for frying

Steps

1. Chop pork into bite-sizes. Julienne the onion. If you season the meat slightly with salt and pepper, it will be properly flavored.
2. Spread oil in a pan and sauté the onion until transparent. Add pork and stir-fry until it's cooked thoroughly.
3. Add ponzu sauce and turn the heat to low. Add ginger, and turn the heat off. Mix everything together to finish.

Story Behind this Recipe

My husband absolutely loves ponzu sauce.
His golden rule is that [ponzu × ginger = refreshingly delicious]. So, I borrowed his "almighty combination" to put this recipe together.
