Horse Mackerel with Herbed Breadcrumbs

Horse Mackerel with Herbed Breadcrumbs

This is a low calorie Italian dish with only 238 calories per serving! You can make this in the oven, so it's very easy and healthy.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Horse mackerel (6 fillets)
3 whole horse mackerels
1 teaspoon
Herb mix (freeze-dried)
2 teaspoons
Garlic (finely chopped)
1 clove (2 g)
1/4 teaspoon
Black pepper
a small amount
Olive oil (about 38 g)
2 rounded tablespoons
Lemon juice
1 teaspoon
Grated cheese (about 23 g)
1 rounded tablespoon
6 tablespoons

1. Rinse and pat dry the horse mackerel fillets. Season with salt and pepper (not listed) just on one side.
2. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except for the horse mackerel (if you are using fresh herbs, finely chop them).
3. 1) Preheat the oven to 200℃. 2) Line an oven tray with parchment paper, place the horse mackerel fillets and top with the panko and herb mixture.
4. Bake at 200℃ for about 10 minutes in the oven (adjust the baking time and temperature according to your oven. 11 minutes of baking was perfect in my oven).

Story Behind this Recipe

I came up with this recipe when my husband wanted to eat an Italian food. If you don't have any fresh herbs, you can use freeze-dried herb mix (unsalted). My husband loves Italian food and he loved it.
