Flounder in Sweet & Sour Vegetable Sauce

Flounder in Sweet & Sour Vegetable Sauce

It's kind of a standard recipe, but I tried making it again and it was delicious as always.

Ingredients: serves 1

Flounder fish
1 cut
Onion
1/8
Carrot
1/4
Green pepper
1
Katakuriko
as needed
For the sweet vinegar sauce:
●Sugar
1 tablespoon
●Vinegar
1 tablespoon
●Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
●Water
50 ml
Katakuriko slurry
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Mince the onions. Cut the green peppers in half vertically, remove the seeds, and julienne. Slice the carrot into strips.
2. Mix in the water-dissolved katakuriko and stop the heat. Mix everything to create a creamy feel.
3. Heat vegetable oil (not listed) in a frying pan and cook both sides of the flounder.
4. Once the flounder has cooked through, transfer to a plate.
5. Wash the frying pan, heat vegetable oil (not listed) again and add the vegetables from Step 1.
6. Once the vegetables are more or less cooked, add the ● sweet vinegar sauce ingredients and mix.
7. Mix in the water-dissolved starch and stop the heat. Mix everything to create a creamy feel.
8. Pour the mixture from Step 7 over the flounder from Step 4 and it's complete.

Story Behind this Recipe

I think this is a very common recipe, but I wanted to upload a recipe on COOKPAD, so I tried making this.
