Lunchbox Treasure! Chicken Breast with Mayonnaise Dressing

Lunchbox Treasure! Chicken Breast with Mayonnaise Dressing

Instead of your regular prawns with mayo, why not have some chicken with mayo dressing?
The sweet and rich dressing goes perfectly with the light flavour of chicken breast. There's so much flavour that it makes a great addition to your lunchbox!

Ingredients: 3 servings

Chicken breast
1 (200 ~ 250 g)
Katakuriko (for coating chicken breast)
as needed
Sake, soy sauce (for marinating the meat)
as needed
3 tablespoons
★ Ketchup & Sugar
1 tablespoon
★Soy sauce
1 teaspoon

1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces (like nuggets) and marinate in a mixture of 4 parts cooking sake to 1 part soy sauce.
2. Coat the chicken with katakuriko and cook in a frying pan with a generous amount of oil until browned on both sides.
3. Combine the ingredients marked with ★.
4. Once the chicken has cooled, dress with the mayonnaise mixture. Don't add the dressing into the pan, apply it on a separate plate. If you want to give your dressing a Chinese-style flavour, add 1 teaspoon of sesame oil.

Story Behind this Recipe

I tried dressing chicken breast meat, which we always seem to have, with my family's sweet mayonnaise dressing that we usually reserve for prawns.
