Easy Lunch in 5 Minutes! Natto Fried Rice

Easy Lunch in 5 Minutes! Natto Fried Rice

I've been making this easy natto fried rice for 25 years. You don't need a cutting board or a knife. Just cut up the green onion with a pair of kitchen scissors directly over the frying pan!

Ingredients: 1 serving

Warm cooked rice
150 g
1 pack
Green onion or scallion
as much as you like
Dashi stock granules
as needed
White sesame seeds
as needed

1. Heat the frying pan over medium heat, and coat with vegetable oil. Beat the egg in a bowl.
2. Pour the beaten egg into the frying pan, and fry it for 10 seconds without touching it. Add the rice on top of the egg.
3. Mix in the natto, green onion (it's easier if you cut with kitchen scissors), and dashi stock granules.
4. When the rice has loosened up, sprinkle in the sesame seeds, and it's done!

Story Behind this Recipe

I love natto, and I've been making this since middle school.
