Easy Gâteau au Chocolat in the Microwave

You don't need to bake it in the oven, just microwave for 2 minutes!
You can make this quickly using ingredients that you already have at home.

Ingredients: 1 silicone steamer

Chocolate (I use milk chocolate)
40 g
20 g
20 g
Pancake mix
30 g
Pure cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1 1/2 tablespoons
Vegetable oil (to grease the steamer)
a small amount
Powdered sugar
as needed


1. Place the chopped chocolate and butter into a heat-resistant dish. Microwave for 1 minute to melt at 600 W.
2. Use a whisk to stir Step 1 well. Mix in the sugar, pancake mix, cocoa powder, and egg.
3. Lightly grease the silicone steamer with vegetable oil and then pour in Step 2. Hold the steamer with both hands and gently bang it on the counter several times to remove air bubbles.
4. Cover Step 3 with a lid and microwave at 600 W for 2 minutes. Leave to steam for another 2 minutes.
5. Once Step 4 has cooled, remove from the silicone steamer. When cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
6. If you chill it in the refrigerator before eating, it will become moist and dense.
