Mascarpone & Tomato Pasta

You can enjoy the fine taste of an Italian restaurant easily at home.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Fresh fettuccine
200 g
Bacon (block)
80 g
1 clove
Olive oil
1 tablespoon
Canned tomatoes (whole tomatoes)
1 can
100 g
Salt and pepper
a small amount
30 ml
1 teaspoon


1. The fettuccine will be boiled once more later so please only boil it until it is firm.
2. Add the bacon and minced garlic to a frying pan with some olive oil and stir-fry.
3. Add the canned tomatoes and continue to stir-fry.
4. Mix in the mascarpone cheese and keep stir-frying.
5. Adjust the flavour with salt and pepper. Then add a little sugar for a subtly sweet flavour. Adjust the thickness of the sauce with milk.
6. Add the boiled fettuccine to the sauce and mix together.
7. Stop the heat, transfer the pasta to a plate, and serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to try making some pasta that I saw a chef make on TV at home. I gathered lots of tomato sauce recipes and after a bit of experimenting came up with this. It uses easy-to-find ingredients and easy-to-use amounts.
My kids often ask for this so we eat it a lot at home.
