Oven Baked Drumettes and Onions

Oven Baked Drumettes and Onions

These drumettes and onions are soaked with flavor and oven-baked. The sweetness of the onions is irresistible.

Ingredients: Serves 3~4 people

Chicken drumettes
10 wings
Onion (If you can, get spring new harvest onions, which are sweeter)
2 onions
[A] Mix these ingredients together and set aside
Garlic (grated)
1 clove
Ginger (grated)
1 block
Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
Sake, Oyster Sauce
1 tablespoon
1/2 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
a small amount

1. Cut the onion into fourths (Leave the slices connected at the bottoms of each wedge so they're easier to handle, as shown in the picture). Preheat your oven to 400℉ (200℃).
2. In a plastic bag, add in all the wings and the seasoning ingredients marked [A] and massage well. Add in the onions from Step 1 as well. Seal the bag and let it sit for 30 minutes.
3. On a baking tray lightly greased with oil, arrange the contents of the bag. Bake the drumettes at 400℉ (200℃) for 20~25 minutes. Then coat the tops of the wings and onions with the leftover sauce and bake for another 5 minutes.

Story Behind this Recipe

I made this using oyster sauce to give the sweetness more depth.
