Hollandaise Sauce Easily Made in a Microwave

Hollandaise Sauce Easily Made in a Microwave

This is a hollandaise sauce you can make in the microwave.
You don't need to use a double-boiler, so you can easily make this for eggs Benedict.

Ingredients: 2 servings

40 g
☆Egg yolk
☆Lemon juice
1 teaspoon
☆White wine
1 teaspoon

1. Melt the butter in the microwave. This takes about 40 seconds at 500 W in my microwave.
2. While you wait, combine the ☆ ingredients in a heatproof bowl and mix lightly. Add Step 1's melted butter and mix well.
3. Heat uncovered in the microwave for 20~30 seconds. See the notes.
4. Remove from the microwave and mix really well until it becomes the same consistency as mayonnaise and it's done.
5. You can use it on Eggs Benedict or on warm vegetables.

Story Behind this Recipe

I love eggs benedict, so I make it often, and I decided to try making my own hollandaise sauce as well.
