Wo Wo Tou Steamed Dumplings

They can be quite chewy, but great for your health. I have cravings for these from time to time.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Ground maize
250 g
Kinako
100 g
Skimmed milk
2 tablespoons
Sugar
3 tablespoons
Instant dry yeast
1 teaspoon
Water
230 ml

Steps

1. Mix all of the ingredients and form a ball. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
2. Divide into 12 pieces.
3. Form little round balls.
4. Make a hole in the bottom of each ball with your thumb.
5. Steam them for 15 minutes with the holes facing down. Then turn the heat off and leave for another 2 minutes with the lid on.

The wo wo tou I've had in the past were big and not very sweet. I added kinako to make them tastier.
