Japanese Style Hamburger Steaks with Kinzanji Miso and Horseradish

This is a great way to transform inexpensive meat into a lavish meal! It's an easy, sweetly flavored hamburger steak!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Ground meat
300 g
Horseradish
1/5
Egg
1
Panko
as needed
Onion
1/2
Kinzanji miso (or red miso or rice malt miso)
3 tablespoons
Mentsuyu
1 tablespoon
Cherry tomatoes
as desired
Dashi soy sauce
as needed
Olive oil
as needed
Maitake mushrooms
a small amount

Steps

1. Finely chop the ingredients and add the horseradish.
2. Add the panko and mentsuyu, then knead.
3. Shape into patties and press your thumb into the center to create an indentation.
4. Top with olive oil with dashi soy sauce and garlic and the Kinzanji miso. Garnish with cherry tomatoes.
5. Bake in an oven for about 25 minutes to finish!

Story Behind this Recipe

I love "menchi katsu (breaded and deep-fried ground meat cutlet or croquette)" with horseradish, so I decided to try it out in hamburger steaks.
