Easy Potato and Carrot Dish to Serve with Rice

Ingredients: 2 servings

Potatoes (medium size)

Carrot (medium size)

Sesame seeds
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
Sake
1 tablespoon
Vegetable oil (for frying)
As much as you need (1/2 tablespoon)

Steps

1. Cut the potatoes into matchstick shaped pieces about 4 to 5 cm long and about 5 mm wide pieces. Soak the slices in water (but not for too long).
2. Cut the carrots to about the same size as the potatoes.
3. Pour vegetable oil in a frying pan on medium heat and add the potatoes and carrots. Add sake when the potatoes become transparent. Let the sake cook down.
4. Turn up the heat a little and add soy sauce. Fry until it gives off a nice roasted aroma, then sprinkle in the sesame seeds. You're all done!
