Bacon and Spring Cabbage in Tomato Sauce

This is a 10 minute recipe for tomato sauce using sweet spring cabbage. You can always make this with regular cabbage as well.

Ingredients: 2-4 portions

Bacon
50-80 g
Spring cabbage

Onion

Garlic
1 clove
Olive oil

Sake or White wine

Canned diced tomatoes

Ketchup
2 tablespoons
Bouillon powder
1/2 teaspoon
Ground black pepper

Total cost is 345 yen: Assuming that 98 yen/100 g for bacon

Steps

1. Cut the bacon in small pieces. Slice the onion and the garlic and chop the cabbage.
2. Heat olive oil in a pan and stir-fry the garlic until fragrant. Add the onion and bacon and stir-fry on medium heat.
3. Add cabbage and stir-fry until it is soft. Add sake and evaporate the alcohol. Add the ingredients of marked ★ and cook for 7-8 minutes with medium heat. Mix occasionally.
4. After cooking well, adjust with salt and it's done.
5. Transfer in the bowl and sprinkle the parsley and enjoy.
