Healthy Tofu Rice Flour Doughnut Holes

Healthy Tofu Rice Flour Doughnut Holes

Crispy outside! Chewy inside! Freshly made doughnut holes are so tasty! They will be soft and chewy even after they have cooled. These don't contain wheat flour or milk!

Ingredients: 8 doughnuts

Rice flour
100 g
Baking powder
3 g
Egg
1
Raw cane sugar
25 g
Tofu
50 g
Unoasted sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Lightly whip the egg and sugar until smooth. Add the tofu and mix.
2. Pour in the unroasted sesame oil and mix. Add the rice flour and baking powder, and mix.
3. Prepare oil for deep-frying and heat to 180℃.
4. Scoop the batter with a spoon, shaping it into a ball, and drop into the oil. You can drop the doughnut balls into the oil easily if you dip the spoon in water before you scoop the batter each time.
5. It takes about 4 minutes to deep-fry the doughnut holes. Deep-fry 1 at first to check the temperature.

Story Behind this Recipe

Once I made doughnut holes with tofu, and they were chewy and delicious. Using milk or soy milk makes doughnuts crispy on the outside, and fluffy inside.
I will upload the recipe using milk as well.
