Broccoli and Prawn Red Chili Salad

Slightly spicy, with fragrant garlic, umami from the prawns, and tasty broccoli, this is a splendid dish!

Ingredients: 4 to 5 servings

1 bunch
Prawns (Peeled, frozen)
100g to 150g
Olive oil
To taste
Red chilli pepper (finely chopped)
Salt and pepper
To taste
2 cloves


1. Cut the broccoli into small pieces and boil or microwave.
2. Mince the garlic. Fry in a pan with a generous amount of olive oil and add the red chili pepper. *Cook over low heat until almost browned.
3. Add the prawns and when thoroughly cooked, add the salt and pepper. *It will be tossed with broccoli later so flavour it more the usual.
4. Put the prawns and olive oil in a bowl with the broccoli and toss. Chill in the fridge.

Story Behind this Recipe

I bought a tasty broccoli and prawn red chili salad at the department and wanted to recreate it. The simple salt taste brings out the umami from the prawns. Using Krazy Salt (seasoned salt) will give it a more authentic taste.
I also recommend adding boiled snap peas!
