Chikuwa, Snow Pea, and Sesame Vinegar Miso Mix

The rich taste of the sesame vinegar miso goes extraordinarily well with rice and beer!

Ingredients: 2-3 people

Snow peas
30 pods
Sesame vinegar miso
◆Red miso (sanjirushi - Traditional Japanese restaurant style red miso)
1 tablespoon
◆Sugar
1 tablespoon
◆Mirin
1 teaspoon
◇Vinegar
1/2 teaspoon
Ground sesame seeds
2 tablespoons

Steps

1. Wash the snow peas and remove the fibers. Slice the chikuwa into 5 mm diagonals.
2. Boil the snow peas in boiling water.
3. Turn off the heat once the snow peas have cooked through, and add the chikuwa. Immediately drain in a sieve to cool.
4. [Vinegar Miso] Mix the ◆ ingredients together. After it has all blended together, add the ♢ vinegar, and stir well.
5. Place the chikuwa and snow peas into seperate bowls. Mix in the [Miso Vinegar] a bit at a time. Add the sesame seeds, mix, and it is done.
