Butter & Sake Steamed Clams

These clams are steamed in sake and flavored with butter and pepper. Just garnish with chopped green onion!

Ingredients

Orient Clams
10-20
Sake
2-3 tablespoons
Water
2-3 tablespoons
Butter
to taste
Pepper
to taste
Green onions or scallions
to taste

Steps

1. Soak the orient clams in salted water to remove the sand.
2. Boil the water and sake in a pot and then add the clams. Steam until the shells open.
3. Once they open, stop the heat and season with the butter and pepper. Serve on a dish and garnish with finely chopped green onion.
