Carrot Shirishiri

Carrot Shirishiri

This is an Okinawan specialty.
It's a dish you can eat up even if you're not big on vegetables!

Ingredients: 4 servings

Carrot
1
Egg
1
Canned tuna
1 can (80 g)
Mentsuyu
1 teaspoon
Salt and pepper
to taste

Steps

1. Peel the carrots and slice thinly with a slicer or knife.
2. This is the slicer I used.
3. Drain the tuna well of its oil. Beat the egg.
4. Cook the carrots in a frying pan. When they have wilted, add the tuna.
5. Add the egg from Step 3 and cook until the egg becomes crumbly.
6. Season with salt, pepper, and mentsuyu (adjust to taste).
7. Plate and enjoy!

Story Behind this Recipe

I saw this on TV, so I wanted to try making it myself.
