Chicken Karaage for Bento

These are delicious and juicy even if you use chicken breast. They are great for bento lunch boxes.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken breast or thigh
280 g
●Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
●Sake
1 tablespoon
●Mirin
1 teaspoon
●Garlic (grated)
1 teaspoon
●Ginger (grated)
1 teaspoon
◎Cake flour
2 tablespoons or more
◎Katakuriko
2 tablespoons or more
Vegetable oil
as needed

Steps

1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Mix the ● ingredients together. Marinade the chicken in the ● ingredients for 20-30 minutes.
2. Put the ◎ ingredients in a plastic bag, and add the chicken. Shake the bag to coat the chicken, then remove the excess flour.
3. Deep fry in oil at 170C.
