Sweet Potato Snacks Healthy Oyaki

If you don't cover these in sauce, this is great for weening toddlers to eat with their hands.
Cover with sauce and it's a great snack for adults can enjoy.

Ingredients: makes about 10

Asian sweet potato
1 large
1 tablespoon
as needed
☆Soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon
2 tablespoons
1/2 tablespoon
3 tablespoons
Katakuriko slurry
1/2 tablespoon


1. Boil or microwave the sweet potato to mash. Mix in the katakuriko and add a little water a bit at a time to your desired stiffness (I used 150 ml).
2. Form into shapes with dampened hands, and cook both sides in a frying pan with oil.
3. Boil the ☆ ingredients and use the katakuriko slurry to thicken. Once they've finished cooking, they're done!!
