Chicken with Kimchi and Mayonnaise

Chicken with Kimchi and Mayonnaise

I recreated an item I'd had at a yakitori place. It's surprisingly easy, even though it gets rave reviews!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken thighs
1 (150 g)

to taste
Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
White sesame seeds
1 teaspoon
to taste (as much as you like)
Green onions

to taste (as much as you like)

1. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
2. Add some sesame oil to a frying pan and start cooking skin side down.
3. Pan fry the chicken, turning over occasionally until browned on both sides. Sprinkle with sake and put on a lid to steam-fry
4. Put on kitchen paper towels to absorb excess oil, then transfer to a serving plate.
5. Add the kimchi and sesame seeds.
6. Add the mayonnaise.
7. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and you're done!

Story Behind this Recipe

I recreated a dish I had at a yakitori restaurant. At the yakitori place it was on a skewer, but I omitted that. It looks a bit like okonomiyaki.
