Sweet & Savory Chicken Wings Made Using An Electric Griddle

This is a great dish for parties!! Great for children with big appetites!! This is made with the Nagoya style sweet and savory seasoning so they are good with beer.

Ingredients: Makes about 15

Chicken wings - the midsection and the tip
about 15
Salt and pepper
a small amount
☆Soy sauce
5 tablespoons
☆Honey (or sugar)
2 tablespoons
3 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
Toasted sesame seeds
2 tablespoons


1. Heat your griddle to the hottest temperature (250℃). Salt and pepper the chicken wings and arrange them on the heated hotplate.
2. Cook for about 10 minutes (adjust the time according to your electric griddle) and turn over just before they are burned. Continue to cook for another 10 minutes.
3. Bring the ingredients marked with a ☆ to a boil in a sauce pan and add the fried chicken wings!! Cook until the sauce is reduced and the wings are well coated.
4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds to finish!!

Story Behind this Recipe

I was planning to make okonomiyaki on an electric griddle. Since it was already out, I decided to cook chicken wings on it as well. By using an electric griddle you can remove the excess fat and it takes less time than deep-frying them. You can do something else with your spare time!!
