Rich Stir-fried Pork Belly and Nagaimo Yam with Oyster Sauce

This dish has a rich taste and goes well with rice.
You will enjoy its unique and crunchy texture of nagaimo yam.

Ingredients: 2-3 servings

Thinly sliced pork belly
150 g
Nagaimo Yam
About 10 cm-length, medium-thickness
★ Oyster sauce
1 tablespoon
★ Soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon
★ Sugar
1/2 teaspoon
★ Sake
1 tablespoon
★ Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
★ Chinese stock powder
1/2 tablespoon
Chopped spring onion
As required (optional)

Steps

1. Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces and slice the yamaimo yam into thin batons.
2. Combine the ★ seasonings.
3. Heat a little of vegetable oil ( not included in the ingredients list) and fry the pork. When its colour is changed add the nagaimo yam and fry.
4. After the pork and yamaimo yam are fried add the seasonings combined at Step 2 and stir well.
5. Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped spring onion if you like. It is optional.

I made this dish using the ingredients I happened to have at home at the time.
I wanted to eat something rich and satisfying.
