Egg-Free & Microwave-Steamed Banana Bread for Baby Food

This bread doesn't harden even after some time!
You can make a lot and store it in the freezer.
It's so light and fluffy that even small kids and babies can eat it up.


80 g
Baking powder
1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
100 ml
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon


1. There are various silicone steamers out there but this is the one I use (I recommend using a container that has it's own lid!).
2. Mash the banana with a fork.
3. Put all of the ingredients, including the mashed banana, into a bowl and mix together.
4. To decrease dirty dishes, I combined everything into the silicone container.
5. Pour into the container and cover with a lid. Microwave for 4 minutes for 600 W.
6. Done! Please check to make sure it's completely cooked by poking with a toothpick.
7. Please slice into pieces and enjoy If you wait until it's cooled, it will cut easier!

Story Behind this Recipe

I started making this steamed bread for my 1 year old daughter. It was surprisingly easy to make, not hard, not too sweet, and not half-cooked. Out of all the recipes I have tried, this was the best.
