Onigiri (Rice Balls) with Shirasu and Green Onions Stir-Fried in Sesame Oil

The shirasu and green onions stir-fried in sesame oil will wake up your appetite!

Ingredients

Plain cooked rice
1 bowlfull
Shirasu (boiled and dried baby sardines)
1 heaping tablespoon
Green onions or scallions
2 to 3
Roasted sesame seeds
1 teaspoon
Sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
a pinch

Steps

1. Prepare the ingredients.
2. Heat 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil in a pan and stir-fry the green onion and shirasu.
3. Mix plain cooked rice, stir-fried shirasu and green onion and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
4. Form into onigiri to finish!

Story Behind this Recipe

I had shirasu and green onion in the refrigerator... so I made onigiri. You can also eat it as fried rice.
