Chikuwa and Bell Pepper Stir-Fry with Okonomiyaki Sauce

A quick item made with okonomiyaki sauce, which tends to get left over.

Ingredients

Green bell pepper

Chikuwa
1
Okonomiyaki or yakisoba sauce
1 teaspoon
Bonito flakes (optional)
To taste
Grated cheese (optional)
To taste

Steps

1. Cut up the bell pepper and chikuwa, and stir-fry with a little oil in a frying pan.
2. When they're cooked, turn off the heat and add the sauce. Coat and stir using the residual heat.
3. This is also delicious with some bonito flakes or grated cheese.

In the Kansai region we use different sauces for everything - okonomiyaki, yakisoba, takoyaki. They're delicious and worth having around -- it's just a bit challenging to get through all of them.
