Ingredients

Chikuwa

Okonomiyaki or Yakisoba sauce
1/2-1 teaspoon
Aonori
to taste
Bonito flake powder (optional)
to taste
Grated cheese (optional)
to taste

Steps

1. Slice the chikuwa into bite-sized pieces, then sauté in a frying pan with oil.
2. Once they are cooked through, remove from heat, add the sauce, and coat the chikuwa.
3. Sprinkle with aonori, then serve. A sprinkle of bonito flakes or grated cheese is also tasty.

In Kansai, the sauces for okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and takoyaki are different. They are all tasty, but I always end up with leftover sauce.
