Chewy Shrimp For Breakfast or a Snack, Japanese-Style Toast

Chewy and succulent shrimp is so delicious.

Ingredients: 1 slice

Shrimp (frozen)
30 g
Sliced bread
1 slice
Japanese leek
about 5 cm
Shirasu (boiled and dried baby sardines) (optional)
to taste
Sake
1 teaspoon
Salt
a small amount
Pepper
a small amount
Mayonnaise
to taste

Steps

1. Prepare the shrimp (defrost if frozen) by sprinkling sake and chopping. Cut the leek into thin slices.
2. Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
3. Cut the bread in half and coat with the shrimp and leek mixture. I drizzled mayonnaise on one slice, scattered shirasu on the other.
4. Toast until crispy. Enjoy.

Story Behind this Recipe

I don't really know how to prepare fresh shrimp, so I only use frozen. I wanted to make a kind of toast that even my husband who loves Japanese food would enjoy.
