Milk Tea Madeleine

This is a delicious madeleine made with milk tea and not tea leaves.

Ingredients: 8 in a madeleine pan

Unsalted butter
40 g
■Cake flour
50 g
■Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon
Tea bags
2 tablespoons
20 g
10 g


1. Grease the pan with oil. Combine the ■ ingredients and sift. Melt butter in the microwave.
2. Warm the milk, steep one of the tea bags, and brew a strong cup of milk tea.
3. Mix together the □ ingredients and Step 3 well. Add the dry ingredients and tea leaves from the remaining tea bag, then mix.
4. Add the melted butter little by little, and mix. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
5. Pour into the pan, and bake in the oven for about 12 minutes at 170℃.
6. Cool on a rack.
7. Wrap with plastic wrap, and let sit overnight.

I can't drink tea, but I love tea flavored sweets, including madeleines, so I created this recipe.
