Rice Cooker Apple Cake (with Pancake Mix)

I combined pancake mix and apples cooked in brandy and sugar, and cooked it in a rice cooker.

Ingredients

Apples
2 small
Pancake mix
200 g
Milk
150 ml
Sugar (to boil the apples)
3 tablespoons
Sugar (for baking)
1 tablespoon
Butter
1 tablespoon
Brandy (or Rum)
3 tablespoons
Vanilla extract
10 drops
Cinnamon powder
to taste

Steps

1. Leave the skin on one of the apples and cut into thin slices.
2. Peel the other apple and cut into 2-3 cm pieces (any shape is fine).
3. Add the apples, brandy, and sugar to a pot and turn on the heat.
4. When the apples have become tender, boil until the liquid evaporates. Let cool.
5. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and the sugar into the rice cooker and switch it on! When the butter has melted, mix it into the sugar.
6. Remove the rice cooker bowl and while it's cooling, swirl it around to coat the sides with the butter.
7. Spread the apples with the skin on the bottom of the rice cooker pot until they reach about halfway up the sides.
8. In a bowl, mix together the pancake mix, milk, and egg.
9. Mix the boiled skinned apples to Step 8.
10. Pour into Step 7, turn on the switch, and then wait.
11. When it has finished baking (or steaming), insert a skewer. If it comes out with batter sticking to it, turn on the rice cooker again. It's finished once the skewer comes out clean!
12. Flip over the rice cooker pot to remove the cake.
