Light and Fluffy Oreo Muffins

These muffins are an excellent gift to a gathering with your BFFs, for Valentine's Day, etc. They are sure to please everyone.

Ingredients: 14-16 muffins (7-8 muffins)

Margarine (or butter)
100 g (50 g)
110 g (55 g)
Cake flour
240 g (120 g)
Baking powder
8 g (4 g)
2 (1)
120 g (60 g)
60 g (30 g)


1. Sift the flour and the baking powder together on an old newsprint paper.
2. Break up the Oreos into fine pieces as seen in the photo.
3. Mix together the margarine and sugar until the mixture becomes light in color.
4. Add the egg (warmed to body temperature using a double boiler) little by little.
5. Add in a little bit of the dry ingredients and mix.
6. Mix in a little bit of milk.
7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 about 4~5 times (dry ingredients --> milk --> powdered ingredients --> milk) Make sure to start with the dry ingredients and end with the milk.
8. Mix in the Oreos and the batter is complete.
9. Pour into the cups a little more than halfway. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes at 180ºC. Once they're baked, they're done.
10. I used this margarine that was given to me for being a tester. This margarine has a very nice taste and has a fluffy finish to the baked goods.
11. They're perfect for large muffins too Please enjoy in your favorite containers.
12. If you add large pieces of crushed Oreos on top right before baking, it'll look completely different.

Story Behind this Recipe

Since I was given margarine in return for being a cooking tester, I made these muffins that are easy to gift. Margarine keeps the muffins moist, fluffy, and retains the flavor the next day. They were so delicious.
