Ham, Egg & Lettuce Sandwiches

Ham, Egg & Lettuce Sandwiches

This is just our standard sandwich but it tastes so good. I recommend adding these to bento lunch boxes as well.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Sliced bread
4 slices
Boiled eggs
2-4 pieces
1 to 2 leaves
2 tablespoons
●Salt and pepper
a small amount
a small amount
Margarine or butter
a small amount

1. Make boiled eggs. Refer to "How to Boil an Egg" (Recipe ID: 2007869).
2. Wash the lettuce and drain. Rip the lettuce leaves in half.
3. Once the boiled eggs have cooled, peel the shells and finely chop with a knife. Add to a container and mix together with the ingredients marked with ●.
4. Thinly spread margarine and mustard on the bread. Lay the ham, followed by the lettuce, then the mixture from Step 3.
5. Place another slice of bread on top and sandwich the contents gently. Cut off the crusts with a bread knife and cut into 3 equal pieces.
6. Serve on a plate or pack in a lunch box.
7. If the bread has gone a bit hard, simply wrap it in some damp kitchen paper, then a layer of cling film and leave in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
8. If you cut the bread up once it has become more moist, it will result in a great tasting sandwich.

Story Behind this Recipe

This is a sandwich that I've always eaten at home since I was a kid.
You can add the fillings in the order of lettuce, ham, egg as well if you like. That way is probably easier if you're only using 1 leaf of lettuce.
